While many fans have been praising the casting choice for Domino in the sequel to the fan-favorite and box office-smashing Deadpool, actor Zazie Beetz has been given a thumbs up from the character's creator.
Rob Liefeld took to social media to praise the casting decision for Ryan Reynolds upcoming film.
The next installment, directed by John Wick's David Leitch, will also feature the mutant Cable's big screen debut, possibly setting up a new franchise in the X-Men movie universe in the form of X-Force.
Those plans are another step closer toward coming to fruition with Atlanta costar Beetz being cast as Domino. The actor will play another mercenary alongside Deadpool. Her character's mutant ability is essentially increased luck, giving her a proclivity for success no matter how difficult her mission may be.
And that luck seems to have stretched to the real world as the creator gave an expressive approval for Domino's casting.
Welcome, Zazie Beetz, to the wonderful world of #Deadpool!! Boy, did Wade's World get a lot more complicated or what?? You are everything I could have hoped for!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 #robliefeld #deadpool #xforce #marvel #20thcenturyfox #robiefeldcreations #atlanta #zaziebeetz

Given the profile of the actor, Domino will likely play a huge role in the sequel. What isn't clear at this point is what the character's relationship will be like when it comes to the Merc With The Mouth. Will she be friend or foe?
Now we just wait for word of Deadpool's casting, which could be coming in the next few days. Will it be Stranger Things' David Harbour? Or Wade Wilson's own choice Liam Neeson? Or someone completely out of left field? Time will tell.
The Deadpool sequel is currently in pre-production. Reynolds will return with writer Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese. David Leitch will direct. The film will introduce Deadpool's time-traveling mutant partner, Cable, as well as X-Force member Domino. Members of the original film's supporting cast are also expected to return.
