She joins the previously-announced cast members Kristin Chenoweth, Emily Blunt, Taye Diggs, Liev Schreiber, Sia, Uzo Aduba, and Michael Peña, as well as the voice actors behind the “Mane 6” from Discovery Family’s massively popular My Little Pony: Friendship is Magicseries: Andrea Libman, Tara Strong, Ashleigh Ball, Tabitha St. Germain and Cathy Weseluck.

Earlier today, Hasbro also unveiled the film’s new logo, which you can see in the attached image gallery.

The logo marks the first time the movie versions of the “Mane 6” from Friendship as Magic have been seen.

There’s no word yet on what character Saldana will play, although it’s possible that she, like Blunt, will play a character created for the feature film.

Jayson Theissen is directing the animated feature, and Hasbro executives Brian Goldner and Stephen Davis are producing. My Little Pony: The Movie is being produced by Hasbro’s Allspark Pictures with Lionsgate distributing and marketing the film globally, except in China.

In Hasbro’s My Little Pony: The Movie, a new dark force threatens Ponyville, and the Mane 6 – Twilight Sparkle, Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy, and Rarity – embark on an unforgettable journey beyond Equestria where they meet new friends and exciting challenges on a quest to use the magic of friendship and save their home.

My Little Pony: The Movie opens Nov. 3, 2017.
