Hugh Jackman is getting used to post-Wolverine life, but you might be surprised at what could get him back in the role.

Jackman's new film is the musical The Greatest Showman, a giant leap from his work as Wolverine in Logan. That said, what if you were to merge the two genres for one more go? It seems Jackman is at least open to the idea and even has a few suggestions.

"No more Wolverine, I can tell you right now," Jackman told Yahoo. When asked what the score would be for this hypothetical project, he changed his tune a bit. "It would be in the Blues Brothers world. Think chicken wire and people throwing beer bottles and him slicing them in half. I don't see kick lines!"

Doesn't sound too bad, does it? The Greatest Showman's songwriting team Benj Pasek and Justin Paul didn't think so either and started trying to come up with lyrics for this Blues Brother bizarro world that Jackman created.

"We'd have to do some wordplay," Paul said. "Like 'morals clause,' but oh, claws! See what we did there?"

The good news is that you now have an image of Hugh Jackman's Wolverine singing while slashing beer bottles, though the bad news is that there is no way a studio is greenlighting that.

Fans will just have to get used to the idea that Logan was indeed Jackman's swan song as the popular character, though there is hope for a future Dafne Keen X-23 project. That was a no-brainer before, though it is a bit murkier now that Disney owns 20th Century Fox. The status of those future projects isn't known yet, but Disney is also not going to look a cash cow in the mouth.

Now that the X-Men are under the same umbrella as the other MCU heroes, you can likely expect a recasting of Wolverine at some point down the line. If you're going to integrate the X-Men into the Marvel universe, there's no way they are doing so without their most popular X-Man.

As for Jackman, The Greatest Showman is in theaters now.
