While Disney's acquisition of 21st Century Fox is rumored to be official on Thursday this week, Disney's corner of the Marvel universe is already meeting up with Fox's, at least on Hugh Jackman's Twitter feed.

The Logan star recently shared a photo on his Twitter account of himself running into Thor: Ragnarok's Idris Elba and enjoying a moment chatting with the actor, captioning the photo "...when you're lucky to catch time with the extraordinary @idriselba in the lobby."

Elba can currently be seen in theaters playing Heimdall for the Marvel Cinematic Universe's Thor: Ragnarok and while Jackman is presently doing press for his turn as PT Barnum in the upcoming The Greatest Showman, the actor is arguably best known for his role as Wolverine in Fox's X-Men films. With the two properties being separate, Jackman and Elba superhero counterparts have never really had the opportunity to cross paths on screen, a situation that would change with the Disney/Fox merger.

Unfortunately, however, just because the opportunity would be there doesn't mean that Jackman would act on it. The actor recently told Collider that while there was a time when he could envision Wolverine part of the Avengers world, for him personally, that time has come to an end.

"It's interesting because for the whole 17 years I kept thinking that would be so great, like I would love to see, particularly, Iron Man and the Hulk and Wolverine together," Jackman said. "And every time I saw an Avengers movie I could just see Wolverine in the middle of all of them like punching them all on the head. But that was like, 'Oh, well, that's not gonna happen,' and it was interesting just when I first saw the heading -- it was just the possibility of it and who knows what's gonna happen, obviously -- I was like, 'Hang on!' But I think, unfortunately, the ship has sailed for me, but for someone else I would like to see Wolverine in there."

Avengers: Infinity War opens in theaters on May 4, 2018. Thor: Ragnarok is now playing in theaters. Other upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe movies include; Black Panther on February 16, 2018, Ant-Man and the Wasp on July 6, 2018, Captain Marvel on March 8, 2019, the fourth Avengers movie on May 3, 2019, the sequel to Spider-Man: Homecoming on July 5, 2019, and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 in 2020.

The X-Men Movie Universe continues with The New Mutants on April 13th; Untitled Deadpool Sequel on June 1st; and X-Men: Dark Phoenix on November 2nd.
