Perspective
The first major difference between the IMAX feature and TV Premiere versions of Inhumans is the choice in point of view.
The IMAX Inhumans feature exclusively follows the Royal Family, Maximus' attempt coup of Attilan, and the resulting hunt for the various Royal Family members across Hawaii.
The TV premiere widens the series' perspective to include human characters in Earth's government, who become aware of Attilan's presence on Earth's Moon...

The IMAX version of Inhumans cut the character of Louise (Ellen Woglom) out of the story completely, along with her entire story arc in the premiere.
The TV version reveals that Louise is a character who works for an aerospace company - the one that's driving the lunar rover which Gorgon bashes with his hoof.
Louise is passionate about all things cosmic, and driven about her work. As we see in the TV pilot, Louise is the only one who is on to what is really transpiring on the moon - but that realization only earns her ridicule and reprimand from her superiors.

As stated, the IMAX version of Inhumans cut the entire storyline about the Earthlings who begin to suspect that there's something amiss on the moon. By doing so, the theatrical version held back one of the major subplots that we'll see play out this season.
As we see in the TV version, Louise spotted the energy signature of Lockjaw teleporting the Royal Family to Hawaii, and despite being reprimanded at her job, she intends to pursue the lead. This puts the Royal Family on a collision course with a human presence that will actually comprehend who and what they are - exactly what they wanted to avoid. And with Louise capable of putting together where Attilan is hidden, she'll become a very pivotal player in the story.
