Marvel's Daredevil, the critically-acclaimed series that kicked off their partnership with Netflix, finally has a release date on Blu-ray, if one UK retailer is correct. The first season of the series may be headed to Blu-ray for fans who don't have Netflix or just like having a hard copy (and presumably special features) for their collection this October.

Zavvi.com has pre-orders now open for Daredevil Season 1 on Blu-ray and DVD, even offering a special UK-exclusive "Steelbook Edition" of the season. The standard edition they have listed features the standard logo, while the steelbook features art by Marvel chief creative officer Joe Quesada. The pre-orders are listed with a release date of October 3, 2016.

There are no special features listed, but they do list the Blu-ray editions as coming on four discs; seeing as there are only 13 episodes in the first season of Daredevil and blu-rays typically hold up to four a piece, that gives room for at least around 3 hours of special features - that doesn't mean they'll have that much, but there's potential, at least. With the entire first two seasons available at no extra cost for Netflix subscribers, special features will be key in making it a value-add for fans and collectors.

Daredevil on Netflix stars Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock/Daredevil as he uses his extraordinary senses (that compensate for his blindness) to fight crime in New York's Hell's Kitchen neighborhood, out of a pure desire to make it a safer place for his fellow citizens. By day, he fights for the people as a lawyer alongside his best friend Franklin "Foggy" Nelson (Elden Henson), and Karen Page (Deborah Ann Woll).
