New Logan Image Shows A Solemn Hugh Jackman Back In Black

Logan has been busy lately with its social media campaigns, and it looks like the film's adverts are making a holiday comeback. Shortly after Thanksgiving, the official Instagram for Logan posted a rather sterile photo of hospital syringes. And, now, the account is following up with a full-body image of Hugh Jackman's Wolverine dressed back in black.

The black-and-white image show Wolverine sitting on the edge of an unmade bed. The bedroom appears to be an old-fashioned yet sparse one. Pictures can be seen hung on the wall, and a TV is hidden in the shadows. If the room weren't so large, it would appear as if Wolverine were held up in a motel somewhere, but he may have splurged on a master suite. The Instagram has published several photos of a rundown Liberty Motor Motel in the past, so that might be where Wolverine has found himself.

This latest photo is simply titled "Room," so there's no much information to speculate about there. The most interesting piece of the picture is found in Hugh Jackman itself as the actor looks focused, even solemn.

If you are not familiar with Logan, then you should know the film will be the final Wolverine feature starring Jackman. The film is set in 2024 in a time when mutants have become all but extinct. The X-Men are gone, and Logan is left to care for a sickly, aging Charles Xavier. However, the two find themselves thrown back into action when a mysterious, young mutant finds herself in their company. Though reluctant, Logan is persuaded to help the girl evade a military group who covets her gifts, and the Wolverine must unsheathe his claws once more.

Logan stars Hugh Jackman (X-Men: Days of Future Past) as Logan/Wolverine and Patrick Stewart (Star Trek: The Next Generation) as Charles Xavier/Professor X. The cast also includes Boyd Holbrook (Gone Girl), Richard E. Grant (Game of Thrones), Stephen Merchant (Movie 43), Eriq La Salle (ER), Elise Neal (Scream 2), and Elizabeth Rodriguez (Orange is the New Black).

The film is being directed by James Mangold (The Wolverine), based on a script by Michael Green (American Gods) and David James Kelly (Mind Mgmt).
