The iconic actor says he’d love to see a movie where Professor X meets the legendary Star Trek character, Captain Picard. If you recall, Stewart gained notoriety for portraying both characters.

During the press tour for Logan, Stewart and Hugh Jackman interviewed each other for a MovieFone video. Using questions asked by fans, they had a great time in the interview. One question asked which character Stewart would rather play again, and the actor had the perfect answer.

“What I’m looking forward to is a movie where Captain Picard meets Professor X. Can’t you see it? Okay, you’ve got that scene where James McAvoy as Professor X meets Patrick Stewart as Professor X – that will fade into obscurity compared to Picard and Professor X face-to-face.”

After that awesome idea, Jackman asks Stewart who would in in that fight. Just before Stewart answered, Jackman muttered, “Professor X” under his breath.

“There would be no fight, because both of them are against violence. They would never allow any confrontation to dissolve into violence.”

Fans will surely love that answer, as did Hugh Jackman. When he suggested that a love interest could get in the way, Stewart replied, “You mean, if Ian McKellan came between us?”
