Recasting The Fantastic Four For The Marvel Cinematic Universe
20th Century Fox attempt at rebooting the Fantastic Four was a stretch to say the least. The film [...]
Johnny Storm - Scott Eastwood
Perhaps the most underused actor in a comic book movie is Scott Eastwood. Making his debut in Suicide Squad as an apparently ancillary soldier, the actor would make a fantastic Johnny Storm.
The torch has been passed to Chris Evans and Michael B. Jordan in the past 20 years but with 20th Century Fox's Fantastic Four franchise at a hault following a horribly received effort in 2015, it will soon be time to recast the bunch.
Who better for the Human Torch than Scott Eastwood? The young actor can bring a sarcastic touch a levity and humor to Johnny Storm as he flames on across the sky.
Sue Storm - Evan Rachel Wood
Westworld star Evan Rachel Wood steps in for Sue Storm.
The actress has shown a diverse array of talents on the HBO series. She displays inner conflict, affection, and strength which are necessary for the Invisible Woman. She is no stranger to computer graphic effects, either. Furthermore, she has shown off a touch of a comedic side with films like Barefoot and Whatever Works -- the final qualification for the levity of the MCU.
Prior to Westworld, the actress was tested in The Wrestler.
Ben Grimm - Charlie Hunnam
Stepping in for Ben Grimm is Sons of Anarchy alum Charlie Hunnam.
Hunnam brings the tough attitude but also soft blue eyes required for Ben Grimm before he transforms into The Thing. Like Bradley Cooper and Vin Diesel's roles in Guardians of the Galaxy, acting the pre-powered part would not be as involved as other roles in the film -- making it an easy "yes" for Hunnam.
The Thing - Ron Perlman
The Thing, on the other hand, gets another actor.
While the character would likely be completely CGI, Ron Perlman lends his voice. Currently starring in Netflix's Trollhunters, it goes without saying that Hunnam's Sons co-star fits the bill for The Thing's voice. Depending on the director's choice, Hellboy could stand in for Thing's motion capture but it wouldn't be a requirement.
Reed Richards - Matthew Fox
LOST's lead actor has been quiet for a while now but if he wants to burst back onto the scene, Matthew Fox would be a fantastic fit for Reed Richards.
The actor knows a thing or two about playing a leader and was pushed to the limit during his tenure on LOST. Since the show went off the air, Fox has appeared in a small role for World War Z and nailed a villain role in Tyler Perry's Alex Cross film.
Bringing Reed Richards to life is burden which belongs on Matthe Fox's shoulders.
