During the Marvel Panel at 2016 San Diego Comic-Con, fans were treated to some surprise footage from Spider-Man: Homecoming. The footage probably won't be released online anytime soon, so we've compiled a description of the footage below.

Clip starts with Tony Stark (Robert Downey, Jr.) and Peter Parker (Tom Holland) meeting in Civil War. It shows Spidey's best moments from the airport fight. Finally, the after-credits scene of his new communicator/webshooter. Tons of applause, and Tom Holland hits the stage. Director John Watts joined him. Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige thanked Amy Pascal from Sony for "making this happen, because putting everything else aside, this was what was best for Spider-Man."

"The MCU is a pretty cool universe to live in!" Watts said. "This is a high school movie. We're going to learn what it's like to have just finished going through puberty, being in the tenth grade." Clip time! Some of the high school stuff.

Bad Reputation plays, and shots of high school. "Every Story" then shots of Tony, Rhodey, each character in high school. "Every journey. Has a beginning." Peter is walking through school, and a homecoming banner goes up. What's meant to be a typical day of high school begins. 9:30am Science. Peter's looking at footage of himself taking Giant Man down. The teacher asks Flash to answer a question - Flash Thompson is played Tony Revolori - and he gets it wrong. Peter, despite not paying attention, closes his laptop and answers correctly, drawing a dirty look from Flash. The Disney channel star Zendaya is playing Liz Allan, it sounded like, but it was hard to hear over the constant screams! Peter and his friend commented "Did Liz get a new sweater?" when she was shown, though. In Chemistry, Parker works on his web fluid on the side when he's supposed to be doing another experiment. A girl is playing F, M, K with Avengers. Liz thinks Spidey is hot, and asks why he isn't being included in the conversation - which Peter overhears and smiles about. One of his other female friends is trying to figure out what he's hiding, which prompts a quick series of shots of him in action as Spidey. Jump cuts of him running down a hallway zipping a hoodie over the costume, and climbing up a wall follow with the girl saying, "Just kidding, I don't care what you're doing." Finally, he and the "Ganke type" do an elaborate handshake in a shop class, looking every bit like real kids... After the logo for the film is shown, we get one more shot: The VULTURE comes down a tube, with crazy armor that looks like a mix of Iron Man and Falcon, but in his signature green, finally confirming the villain as this newest Spidey's first.

Spider-Man: Homecoming is scheduled to be released in movie theaters on July 7, 2017.
