Ron Perlman always tells us exactly what he wants. Right now, he is eyeing the role of Cable when the Deadpool sequel rolls around.
Yesterday, the Sons of Anarchy alum and Hellboy star took to Facebook to share side by side images of himself with the Marvel hero and launch a social media frenzy about his desire for the role. Now, graphic designer BossLogic has whipped up a rendition of the actor as Cable.
Perlman has campaigned for projects and roles on social media in the past. Months ago, he rallied his supporters in an effort to get Hellboy III off the ground and built an enormous buzz for the flick. So far, it hasn't happened, but the effort could not have gone unnoticed by studios.
The actor is best known for his roles in Sons of Anarchy and Hellboy but has also shown his chops on the Amazon series Hand of God, Blade II, and countless other productions.
Based upon Marvel Comics' most unconventional anti-hero, DEADPOOL tells the origin story of former Special Forces operative turned mercenary Wade Wilson, who after being subjected to a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers, adopts the alter ego Deadpool. Armed with his new abilities and a dark, twisted sense of humor, Deadpool hunts down the man who nearly destroyed his life.
