Gather 'round, Wilderness Explorers!

Disney is bringing your favorite characters from Pixar's Up to the parks next year in the form a brand new live show at Animal Kingdom.

As a part of the 12 Days of Disney Parks Christmas, the company announced that Russell and Dug would be featured in Animal Kingdom's newest live performance, beginning in 2018. The show will follow Russell and Dug as the discover new species of birds from around the world and is set to run multiple encounters each and every day.

Up will take the place of Flights of Wonder, the current bird show taking place at the Caravan Theater in Anandapur Village. It sounds as though Up will be fairly similar, introducing visitors to exotic birds that they've never before had the chance to see. The only difference will be that the show is centered around Russell's Wilderness Explorers.

The new show will begin in 2018, and the final Flights of Wonder show will take place on December 31, 2017. If you're a big fan of the existing adventure, you'll need to hurry to Animal Kingdom this month.

This show is just one of many additions to Animal Kingdom next year, as the park celebrates its 20th anniversary.
