Whoever thought it would be any easy task to film exterior shots of Doctor Strange's titular character around Nepal was quite wrong. Not only did it result in a hefty amount of set videos surfacing online but it drew in an unimaginable amount of Benedict Cumberbatch fans.

"We were in Kathmandu, we were shooting in some of the public areas, and the crowds that turned out for Benedict weren't like anything I've ever seen in 30 years in the business," Doctor Strange executive producer Charles Newirth tells EW. "It was like the Beatles showed up after The Ed Sullivan Show. He did one thing one day where he just popped his head out of a window just to say 'Hi' to the fans and it just erupted into just love and adoration. There were girls that were crying and hugging each other when they saw him go by. It was really remarkable."

After his career is destroyed, a brilliant but arrogant surgeon gets a new lease on life when a sorcerer takes him under his wing and trains him to defend the world against evil, in Doctor Strange.

Doctor Strange hits theaters November 4, 2016.
