ComicBook.com recently caught up with the Academy Award-winning actor at San Diego Comic-Con, discussing his role as Agent Champagne AKA Champ. Bridges had high praise for his costars during the discussion, talking about his love for Taron Egerton and Channing Tatum.
“Those are two of my favorite actors,” Bridges said. “I thought Taron — Kingsman was his first movie, I couldn’t believe it, he’s so great in it.”
Bridges reiterated his love for Tatum as well, reminiscing about when he first discovered him on screen.
“I remember first seeing him with Magic Mike, and he’s just wonderful.”
Bridges was loath to spill any plot details about the movie or his role in it, but he chuckled at the fact that his character is named “Champagne” while Tatum plays a Statesman agent named “Tequila.”
He then joked about drinking bourbon with other Kingsman costars during the Fox's Hall H presentation at Comic-Con, pointing out Halle Berry chugging the bottle.
“I’m worried about her, I think she might have downed a pint,” Bridges said. “With no water! I kept telling her, ‘flush, girl flush!’”0comments
