The short reunites sisters Anna (Kristen Bell) and Elsa (Idina Menzel) and their Arendelle friends Kristoff (Jonathan Groff) and Sven. The 21-minute short film will play in theaters ahead of Disney/Pixar's Coco this November.
The short finds Olaf and reindeer friend Sven embarking on an adventure to find the perfect tradition to celebrate the holiday season and is the second short film birthed out of the Frozen franchise, established with the 2013 Walt Disney Animation Studios hit that proved to be a worldwide phenomenon, grossing more than $1.2 billion worldwide.
The first short film, Frozen Fever, debuted in theaters ahead of Disney's live-action Cinderella in 2015. The shorts come as a way to bring audiences more of the characters from the Frozen brand until its big screen sequel releases November 27, 2019.
Olaf's Frozen Adventure will play exclusively in theaters ahead of Disney/Pixar's Coco, the Day of the Dead-inspired adventure from Toy Story 3 director Lee Unkrich. Coco opens November 22, 2017.
