Change is on the horizon for Netflix subscribers. The start of a new month is just around the corner and that means streaming services like Netflix are preparing some overhaul to their lineups. New titles will be added at the beginning of October, but those additions will come at the cost of several popular titles exiting Netflix’s lineup.

On Wednesday, Netflix released its newsletter for the month of October, thus announcing all of the new additions joining the service. Unfortunately, that newsletter also comes with a bit of bad news, revealing the horde of popular titles that will be leaving over the course of the month — though most of them will exit on October 1st.
There are dozens of great movies leaving Netflix at the start of October, meaning that the last day to watch them on the streamer will be September 30th. The action and comedy genres are going to be hit especially hard.
On the action side of things, all of the Mission: Impossible movies currently on Netflix will be leaving the service when the calendar flips to October. Those titles will be joined by David Lynch’s Dune and The Departed, making for a big wave of action losses.
Netflix’s comedy lineup got an enormous boost earlier in the summer with the arrival of some iconic movies from the ’80s, ’90s, and ’00s. Many of those films are going to be leaving in October. The upcoming losses include Wayne’s World, Dazed and Confused, Big Daddy, A Night at the Roxbury, Good Burger, The Blues Brothers, American Pie, Road Trip, and Billy Madison.
