With the news that Star Wars Episode 7 will be released in 2015, internet speculation is running rampant. From the Disney investor conference call and a video released featuring George Lucas, we know for a fact that George Lucas had some ideas for Episodes 7, 8, and 9, which were part of what Disney acquired. We also know that Star Wars Episode 7 is already in the early stages of development. Here are five of the craziest Star Wars Episode 7 rumors already circulating. Star Wars Episode 7 Will Star A Middle-Aged Luke Skywalker - With the announcement that George Lucas already had a plan mapped out for the next three Star Wars movie, people have started coming out of the woodwork claiming to have inside scoop on what that plan is. The most interesting theory comes from a writer of an unathorized biography of George Lucas who says Star Wars Episode 7 will feature a Luke Skywalker who is in his thirties or forties. Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher Could Return - While most speculation indicates that new actors will be cast in the major roles for Star Wars Episode 7, Mark Hamill has revealed that George Lucas had lunch with him and Carrie Fisher last August. While Mark didn't initially know why Geroge Lucas wanted to see them, he claims the topic of conversation was that Lucas had decided to do Star Wars Episodes 7, 8, and 9.While Hamill didn't indicate whether he was asked to reprise his role as Luke Skywalker, one would think Lucas wouldn't have met with Mark and Carrie unless he was interested in having them participate in some way. Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson Could Star - Anytime news breaks around a major movie franchise, casting rumors always soon follow. With Star Wars Episode 7 there doesn't appear to be a lot of factual information on who Disney is considering for lead roles, which means it's up to the gossip blogs to speculate. The wildest and perhaps most concerning casting speculation to come out of the gossip blogs is that Disney might look to put Twilight stars Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattionson into leading roles. According to some speculation, the two would play the roles of Luke and Leia. Gawker has Taylor Lautner playing the Han Solo role. Damon Lindelof and Brad Bird Are The Writer/Director Team - Casting isn't the only source of speculation about Star Wars Episode 7. Since George Lucas has already made it clear that he's turning over the keys to Stars Wars, the director's seat for Star Wars is open. While some initial speculation has revolved around Joss Whedon, who recently signed an exclusive deal with Disney, he's probably a longshot. Whedon is already committed to directing the Avengers 2, which is also due out in 2015, so the odds would be against him having the time to direct another major blockbuster due out the same year. The biggest rumor seems to be the 1952 science fiction movie that Damon Lindelof and Brad Bird have been working on is actually a secret codename for the new Star Wars movie. Star Wars Episode 7 Will Be An Original Story - There have been a lot of good Star Wars stories told in books and comics, so many have wondered if one of those stores might be adapted as the next Star Wars trilogy. It wouldn't be surprising, considering Disney owned Marvel Studios often adapts their films from classic comic book storylines. However, an unnamed Lucasfilm source reportedly told EOnline that Episode 7 would be an original story.
