Zack Snyder is all-in on "Batfleck," the casting of Ben Affleck as Batman. The director of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and the upcoming Justice League films featuring the character told Bloomberg he loves Affleck's portrayal - including the very look of the character.

"I never liked a small Batman. Ben's all of 6-foot-4, and in the boots, he's like 6-foot-6," Snyder said. The actor is portraying a seasoned, aged Batman, a guy in his forties in a modern, stylish house with modern art and a classic car. That green 1957 Aston Martin you'll see? It's Snyder's car, naturally.

He assures fans, though, that "Ben is a pretty good Batman," with a joking caveat that he doesn't just want to be "drinking [his] own Kool-Aid."

Affleck's Batman takes cues, certainly, from Frank Miller's version in his The Dark Knight Returns stories. That Batman actually retired and returned to the role after several years, but was characterized as grizzled, overly-muscled, and even donned armor that was adapted for Batman v Superman in his fight with Superman.
