Captain America: The Winter Soldier - Falcon and Nick Fury

With all of the action and spy game antics, there was a lot going in Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Turns out, there was even more going on inside the mind of Anthony Mackie, the actor who plays the Falcon. On last night's episode of Conan, Mackie explained that Captain America: The Winter Soldier was the first time he got to work with Samuel L. Jackson, who plays Nick Fury. Mackie decided, with the two actors both sporting goatees, that he and Jackson looked enough alike that Jackson could be his father. He would call Jackson "Dad" on set and even had a secret subplot added to Captain America: The Winter Soldier going on inside his head. "There's this whole subplot I put in there," Mackie told Conan O'Brien, "where Nick Fury is the Falcon's dad. So every time he'd come on set I'd go 'Dad.'" Jackson wasn't one to play along though, and would tell Mackie to "shut up" every time. Mackie talked about how hard it is to pull of flying stunts in a superhero movie and shared a falcon mating call he learned while researching for his role as the Falcon. The full clip is embedded below. Captain America: The Winter Soldier is currently in theaters.
