Harrison Ford (seen here in a pic from the Official StarWars.com liveblog) made his first public appearance since his well-publicized plane crash at the Star Wars: The Force Awakens panel at San Diego Comic-Con Friday night. Fans were worried about his health, and the first words out of the actors mouth were simply, "I'm fine. I walked here." After that assurance to fans that his foot was fine and injuries from the crash all healed, Ford joked with his castmates, and, visibly emotional, talked about coming back into the Star Wars fold.

"I never thought it would come back to bless me instead of haunt me," the actor said of his role as Han Solo. He praised the script for The Force Awakens by Lawrence Kasdan, the direction of J.J. Abrams, and the way the entire company of Lucasfilm under Disney handled the film.

"I was very gratified when I read the script, because I read something that I thought was really remarkable. Well written, with some intriguing developments. So I was delighted to be involved," Ford said. He joked that while returning to the role of Han Solo "should've felt ridiculous," instead it only "felt great."
