The legendary, and supposedly retired, Japanese animation director Hayao Miyazaki has revealed that he is working on a new, computer-generated short film, to be shown at the Studio Ghibli Museum in Mitaka, Japan.

Miyazaki revealed the new project while speaking in Tokyo (as reported by The Wall Street Journal), and said the short will star a hairy caterpillar. While Miyazaki has used computer graphics to enhance his traditionally animated works before, this will be his first primarily computer generated work. It's unclear if the film will ever make it out to even Japanese theaters, let alone see a Western release.

Miyazaki had previously announced that he would be retiring following the release of his last film, The Wind Rises, in 2013, but he did say he'd be working on other projects, such as samurai manga.
