Hunger Games: Francis Lawrence Will Direct the Final Three Movies

While the producers of this year's smash hit The Hunger Games lost director Gary Ross before the sequel, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, ever started production, it looks like they're taking steps to make sure that doesn't happen to them again. Francis Lawrence, who is already aboard to direct Catching Fire, will also direct The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part One and The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part Two, concluding the series. The films will be written by Danny Strong and star Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth. Before The Hunger Games, Lawrence took on I am Legend, Water for Elephants and Constantine. Catching Fire will open November 22, 2013.  Mockingjay Part 1 is due out on November 21, 2014 and Part 2 is set for November 20, 2015.
