Iron Man & Hulk Team-Up Movie: Could It Happen?

Marvel Studios likes to do the unconventional in their movies, as evidenced by the twist in Iron Man 3. While many fans were disappointed that the Iron Man 3 after the credits scene didn't set up any future Marvel Studios movies, what if it actually did? The Iron Man 3 after the credits scene featured Tony Stark unloading his problem on Dr. Bruce Banner. Could it be that their conversation actually sets up the next stage in Iron Man movies? Robert Downey Jr. and Mark Ruffalo obviously have a lot of on-screen chemistry, and the two actors would be quite entertaining in some type of buddy flick. Of course, Robert Downey Jr. and Mark Ruffalo will likely be together again in Avengers 2, but the large Avengers cast limits how much of the movie can focus on their interaction. With Iron Man 3 having neatly wrapped up the Iron Man solo stories, it would make for an interesting twist for Marvel Studios to do a Marvel Team-Up movie. Marvel Studios President of Production Kevin Feige has been rather evasive when talking about the prospects of another Hulk movie. With already two fairly recent attempts at launching the Hulk franchise, Marvel Studios has to be careful with a third Hulk reboot movie. What better way to relaunch Hulk than in a movie with Iron Man, their most popular property? While we want to label this as pure speculation, Marvel Studios President Of Production Kevin Feige recently revealed that Extremis would be used again after Iron Man3. One of our readers speculated that Extremis might be used in combination with gamma radiation to create the Red Hulk. Some reputable entertainment sites have reported that Robert Downey Jr.'s contract negotiations haven't included Iron Man 4, and it's unclear if the actor wants to do another solo Iron Man movie. Another Iron Man solo movie might seem like re-treading old ground to Robert Downey Jr. at this stage. However, a team-up movie with Iron Man and Hulk taking on the Red Hulk would definitely be something new and different.
