Man Of Steel Henry Cavill

Man Of Steel director Zack Snyder and his wife Man Of Steel producer Deborah Snyder appeared on CBS This Morning on Monday. As part of the segment, a brand new Man Of Steel clip was released, which shows Jor-El and Lara debating about sending their only son Kal-El to Earth in a spaceship. Director Zack Snyder also explained why he cast a relatively unknown Henry Cavill in the role of Superman. Snyder said, "There are a lot of great qualities that Henry has. First of all, he's not an entirely ugly person." Snyder added, "He's an amazing actor. And also, I feel like what comes naturally to Henry is this...he comes from a military family...and I look at Superman as kind of like if you want to get in the head of a first responder or something, because he is a...it's all volunteer, completely anonymous. He's just there to help, nothing for me I just want to help if I can. And I think that with Henry that makes sense to him. It wasn't like a thing where I had to go to him like, 'Hey, in the next scene these people need help.' He's just like, 'Right, of course they do.'" The Man Of Steel is scheduled to be release in movie theaters in the United States on June 14, 2013.
