Universal's Jason Bourne, the fifth installment in the spy-thriller series, opened nationwide Friday and is currently on track for a $57M opening weekend. If that figure holds, Jason Bourne will have the second-best opening in the franchise, slightly-ahead of The Bourne Supremacy's $52.5 million debut in 2004 and well-behind The Bourne Ultimatum's $69.2 million premiere in 2007.

In a last-minute attempt to pack the theaters, Universal has released a trio of featurettes (view in the videos above). One of them features Damon providing a 90-second recap of the three previousBourne films he starred in. "The whole thing starts with me floating in the Mediterranean with no memory," Damon begins. "But there's a bank code in my hip and boom, I'm in Zurich pulling spy stuff out of a safety deposit box."

The other two featurettes show off the awesome fights scenes from the franchise and the various locations Jason Bourne was filmed in, such as Las Vegas, Nevada; Washington, D.C.; and Tenerife, Canary Islands.

Matt Damon returns to his most iconic role in Jason Bourne. Paul Greengrass, the director of The Bourne Supremacy and The Bourne Ultimatum, once again joins Damon for the next chapter of Universal Pictures' Bournefranchise, which finds the CIA's most lethal former operative drawn out of the shadows.

For Jason Bourne, Damon is joined by Alicia Vikander, Vincent Cassel and Tommy Lee Jones, while Julia Stiles reprises her role in the series. Frank Marshall again produces alongside Jeffrey Weiner for Captivate Entertainment, and Greengrass, Damon, Gregory Goodman and Ben Smith also produce. Based on characters created by Robert Ludlum, the film is written by Greengrass and Christopher Rouse.
