Superman and Batman are sharing the big screen, and taking home #1 at the box office this weekend. That's because Warner Bros.'s The Lego Movie is expected to generate more than $60 million, over twice what the next-best performer will pull in between now and tomorrow night. The 3D, animated adventure was expected to open around $40 million and even then, the studio had already commissioned a script for a sequel. In spite of a number of direct-to-video movies branded with the Lego name, DC, Marvel and Star Wars movies, The Lego Movie is the first one to make it to the big screen. George Clooney's historical war movie Monuments Men will take a $22 million and take the #2 spot comfortably, with Vampire Academy, the only other new, wide release of the weekend, taking in less than $5 million, according to Deadline. Ride Along and Frozen are projected to come in at #3 and 4, respectively, with $5 million to $10 million each, and it's a dead heat between That Awkward Moment and Lone Survivor in fifth/sixth place.
