The Rock Has Started Shooting Baywatch

The film adaptation of the popular television series, Baywatch (ran from 1989-1999), has begun filming.

Its star, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, posted a photo of the cast sitting down yesterday for one last table read before filming kicked off on Monday.

"Like a proud papa silverback, just look at this talented cool/hot Baywatch cast.. Deb Kawi, Alexandra Daddario, Zac Efron, Priyanka Chopra, Kelly Rohrbach, Jon Bass and some tatted up, bald brown man with a large head," Johnson wrote on Sunday. "This squad has been working extremely hard for months for these roles - the time has come - we start shooting TOMORROW. Let's roll and bring the world some beach fun."

Seth Gordon (Horrible Bosses, Identity Theft) is directing the film, based on a script by Damian Shannon and Mark Swift.
