Following on the heels of yesterday's "Explosive" teaser for an art change on Thunderbolts and today's "Fired" teaser that shows off a new artist on Superior Spider-Man comes the message that Walt Simonson will "Smash" onto Indestructible Hulk as the new artist on the title in April. Writer Mark Waid will remain on the title. Apparently Marvel will continue their one-word (and no title) teasers, but will tag the ones that involve current, ongoing series as "To Be Continued" while the teasers for new series will continue to look as they have for the last few months. While Superior Spider-Man was originally announced as a book with a revolving creative teams, it would appear as though Steve Dillon and Leinil F. Yu are off to greener pastures, as these books were never presented that way before. It's possible that Marvel could build a Spider-Man-style rotation into the publishing model, allowing for artists to have months "off" to get caught up, but nothing here suggests that yet. Each of the "To Be Continued" teasers appear to indicate a change in direction for the characters, with The Punisher and Elektra entering into a Superman-and-Wonder Woman-style workplace romance while Spider-Man is fired from The Avengers. With The Indestructible Hulk, it appears as though Simonson will bring an old friend with him; just as we did in Marvel's The Avengers this summer, here we get a look at The Hulk trying (and failing) to lift Thor's hammer, Mjolnir. Which should be fun--because it's hard to imagine there are many fans who don't want to see Simonson drawing Thor again.
