Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare debuted another brand-new mission in footage in a behind-closed-doors presentation at E3 2016. "We placed a huge focus on storytelling" said the narrative director of the game, Taylor Kurosaki. You play the campaign as Lieutenant Reyes, and the clip was from the very start of the story, something they say is a major focus for them. There's been a terrible attack in Geneva, Switzerland.

Reyes and his unit move into the now war-torn area, trying to approach a tower. As they run down a dark alley, a robot jumps in and attacks Reyes. While the robot chokes you, one of your teammates takes it out to save you.

The game continues, as your group continues toward this central tower. Many of the enemies are robots, though there are some humans as well. The demo cycled through several weapons, including a high-powered and rapid-fire shotgun, your standard machine gun, and a few different grenades. The high point weaponry-wise was definitely the spider drone, which you can set on the ground, seeks out enemies behind cover, and explodes in spectacular fashion.

As you head up the hill and get closer to the tower, there are way more enemies. Some are dropped in by one type of flying ship, while other ships fly in just to deliver some heavy fire in your direction. Luckily, you can call in some air support yourself, from the Jackals, pointing out enemies to them.

A hacking module also lets you occasionally hack a robot, setting off its self destruct (they did this in the demo, blowing up an entire ship of them in one fell swoop). They did not, however, give any indication how often you're able to use that particular ability, or if it works on all robotic enemies or just these early grunts.

After the ground bottle and taking the tower, the crew all get into their own ships, and take off. They're flying near high-tech flying aircraft carriers (not unlike Marvel's helicarrier, if it was a bit more high tech). They all activate boosters (including the carriers), and fly off into orbit.

From there, it's a huge dogfight in space, fighting other small craft, but also attacking their larger ships. Yes, you can actually take down their massive airships, but it'll take several passes at it. After they take one down, the demo ends.

In the closed-door presentation, they also showed the mission from the Modern Warfare Remaster where Soap and his team take the boat, ending in its destruction.

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare hits stores November 4, 2016.
