WWE's Stephanie McMahon Wants Ronda Rousey When She Retires From UFC

With UFC legend Ronda Rousey's career in the octagon winding down, she might be able to quickly find herself another gig with the WWE, according to Stephanie McMahon.

McMahon, the daughter of WWE CEO Vince McMahon, was recently in New York City and told TMZ that the wrestling company has already starting the court process for Ronda Rousey.

The WWE might not be forced to pull too many strings to get Rousey into the ring as she is a big-time pro wrestling fan, and regularly attends wrestling events around the country. Last year, the Entourage actress even made a cameo in the ring alongside superstar Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.

She will likely be looking to cash in on her fame from the UFC, and it seems like going to the WWE might be a natural transition for her.

Rousey recently made a huge announcement during an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

The 29-year-old fighter said that UFC 207 is "definitely one of my last fights." Back in November of 2015, Rousey suffered a brutal second round knockout to Holly Holm. It's clear that Rousey is determined to go out on top as she has been training extremely hard recently for her upcoming bout in the octagon.

On December 30, Rousey will be facing off against Amanda Nunes for the women's bantamweight title in Las Vegas at UFC 207. The upcoming match will be the first fight for Rousey since being defeated by Holly Holm.

The WWE has been pushing hard to boost the popularity of women's wrestling. McMahon has previously explained that her goal is to have an all-women's main event at WrestleMania someday in the future. It would be hard to think of a better headliner for an all-women's wrestling event than Ronda Rousey.

Most recently, two women, Charlotte and Sasha Banks, made WWE history when they appeared as the main event in a pay-per-view show. This was a monumental moment for the wrestling company because women were typically given the time slot during the event that only served to allow the fans to get up and take a bathroom break. However, the showdown between Charlotte and Sasha was the most marketable moment of the event and could have been the first strides in racing towards women's wrestling getting heavy mainstream attention.
