The Walking Dead Creator Robert Kirkman To Be Featured Speaker At 2015 SXSW

Earlier today, the South By Southwest (SXSW) Interactive Festival announced twelve more members of their 2015 Featured Speaker lineup, and among the speakers is a name that should be familiar to comic book fans.

Robert Kirkman, founder of Skybound Entertainment and creator of The Walking Dead, is one of the featured speakers. The Walking Dead started out as a comic book series, but Kirkman's creation is now also a hit AMC TV show.

The other eleven new speakers besides Kirkman are Sandy Carter , David Chang, Hugh Herr, Ari Horie, Lawrence Lessig, Sarah Lewis, Nilofer Merchant, Eric Ries, Reshma Saujani, Bryan Stevenson, and Talithia Williams.

Kirkman will be speaking at SXSW Gaming.

The twelve new featured speakers join ten previous announced Featured Speakers including: Genevieve Bell (Intel), Dr. Patricia Galloway (Hyperloop), Nicole Glaros (TechStars), Bill Gurley (Benchmark), Josh Klein (Hacker), Elliot Kotek (Not Impossible Labs), Jessica Lawrence (NY Tech Meetup), Phil Libin (Evernote), Daniel Pink (danpink.com) and Franz von Holzhausen (Tesla).

The Interactive part of the SXSW festival, which Kirkman will be speaking during, runs from March 13-17, 2015.
