Last year, Lucasfilm began to explore some uncharted territory of the Star Wars universe with Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. The film acted as the studio’s first standalone, and Rogue One thrilled fans with its gritty action and deep insight into the pre-existing canon of the franchise’s original trilogy. Lucasfilm is set to delve into Han Solo’s background with an upcoming standalone based on the space pirate.
And, now, one of the standalone’s star is meeting up with his original trilogy icon.
Over on Twitter, a user managed to snap a photo while eating lunch at a restaurant called Los Feliz that features two huge stars. Donald Glover and Billy Dee Williams were seen eating together in the background as a waiter attended to the them, and the photo is now making its round on the Internet.
Of course, fans know that Glover has been vocal about his excitement for Star Wars. Last year, the actor admitted that Lando was the first action figure he ever received as a child and that he was honored to be part of the franchise.
Glover is not the only star who has met their Star Wars predecessor when it comes to the Han Solo standalone. After much anticipation, the franchise’s Han Solo actors finally met up for a luncheon as well. Harrison Ford and Alden Ehrenreich were seen getting food in Santa Monica at the beginning of this year.
