The latest film in the Star Wars franchise is still over half a year away until it arrives in theaters worldwide, but that’s not stopping us from finding anything we can about it.

Now some leaked packaging imagery of new LEGO sets for Star Wars: The Last Jedi reveals not only what sets when can expect for the new movie later this year, but it also offers some new details about key characters such as Supreme Leader Snoke and Poe Dameron.
A user on the Star Wars Leaks thread on Reddit posted images of three sets including the Resistance Bomber, the First Order Star Destroyer, and the First Order Assault Walker.
Set piece count isn’t printed on the images so we can’t gauge how much they’ll cost, but they appear to be the bigger sets of the first wave.
We’ve already taken a look at the new minifigure of Supreme Leader Snoke in the Star Destroy set and the new details about the character, but now we want to take a look at the other sets and what they reveal.
Resistance Bomber & First Order Star Destroy
The Resistance Bomber gives a new look at Admiral Holdo, recently revealed in the Vanity Fair spread of photos.
While the ship may appear to be the speeders revealed in the teaser for the Last Jedi, these are actually different ships with larger fins fixed to the bottom and sleeker wings without mounted engines.
Poe makes an appearance in his pilot jumpsuit without all of the life support attachments, unlike the other fighters.
The First Order Star Destroy has a sleeker look than the Imperial version, without the large antennas and the bridge on top. It appears to have the same structure as the Imperial Star Destroy model from a previous LEGO Star Wars wave, complete with the retractable handle for easier handling. Aside from the must-have Snoke minifigure, it also comes with a black BB unit droid in BB-9E.
Will we be seeing evil versions of the BB units running around on the Star Destroyer? Maybe we’ll get a ball fight between BB-8 and his evil counterparts?
First Order Assault Walker
Lastly, the First Order Assault Walker confirms the rumors of the “Gorilla” Walkers previously reported. They’ll be seen in the assault on Crait hinted at in the teaser. Most interestingly in this set, though, is the inclusion of Rey AND Poe. It’s not best to read too deep into LEGO sets for movies, especially when it comes to Marvel and DC films, but they tend to get the characters and set pieces correct.
In sets for Star Wars: The Force Awakens, LEGO bunched together characters that actually appeared in the scenes together. Admiral Ackbar never rode in a Resistance transport, but he was only featured in scenes with Leia. Finn and Kylo Ren did not duel on Takodana, but they did have a brief encounter when Kylo abducted Rey and departed the planet.
Rey is likely to appear in another set alongside Luke Skywalker, but this makes us believe this particular battle takes place later in the movie, possibly during the climax, when Rey returns to help her friends. Will she finally share a scene with Poe?
Also worthy of note: CAPTAIN Poe Dameron? Looks like someone gets a promotion in the next movie.
As with many big blockbusters that appeal to wide demographics, many characters and plot points tend to get spoiled by action figures and collectibles released in advance to promote the film. Lucasfilm does their best to minimize the impact of spoilers while making an event of the occasion with their Force Friday release date, but details tend to trickle out in advance.
We’ll find out more when Star Wars: The Last Jedi premieres in theaters on July 15.
