There's no escaping the news about Hollywood and the war it has declared against the sexual predators lurking within the industry. Harvey Weinstein's fall is the start of a hopeful awakening within the business, but there's been lots of brave stars who have fought against sexual harassment.
It should come as no surprise that Carrie Fisher went all-out when one sleazy producer sexually assaulted a close friend of hers.
During a recent chat with 94.9 FM in Arizona (via Buzzfeed), Heather Ross opened up about her longstanding friendship with Fisher. She reiterated her own story of being assaulted back in 2000 by an anonymous Oscar-winning producer. Ross managed to escape the situation and told Fisher what happened immediately.

Of course, the Star Wars icon knew just how to respond.
"About two weeks later, she sent me a message online and said, 'I just saw [him] at Sony studios,'" Ross recalled.
"[Fisher said] I knew he would probably be there, so I went to his office and personally delivered a Tiffany box wrapped with a white bow."
When Ross asked what Fisher had in the box, the actress revealed she had given the producer a very unwelcome gift.
"It was a cow tongue from Jerry's Famous Deli in Westwood with a note that said, 'If you ever touch my darling Heather or any other woman again, the next delivery will be something of yours in a much smaller box!'"
Clearly, Fisher learned a thing or two about paying back sexual predators after being a bikini-clad slave under Jabba the Hutt.
As you may have expected, fans of the star are living for Fisher's no-nonsense response to her friend being approached by one of the industry's unsavory producers. The unnamed predator may have escaped Fisher's clutches with his - um - appendages attached, but Fisher's response has now inspired her fans to cut off perps at the knees before they can get handsy.
And, if the industry cannot clean out its dredges, then Jerry's Famous Deli will need to stock up on cow tongues ASAP.
