When Andrew Lincoln is on set of The Walking Dead dressed as an old man, complete with a white beard and cropped white head of hair, everyone watches -- including the rest of the show's cast.

During ComicBook.com's time on the set of the AMC series, Lincoln was in the spotlight as his Rick Grimes rolled over in bed as an old man who had survived a war with Negan and the Saviors. However, it was when he was sitting beside Norman Reedus and other Walking Dead stars in a rocking chair on the porch of Rick Grimes' Alexandrian house which really stood out.

There's Reedus, in his street clothes, showing up to set strictly to watch Lincoln's "Old Man" performance. He wasn't the only one, either.

Among the other cast members showing up was Aaron actor Ross Marquand. The actor hasn't been at Lincoln's side since The Walking Dead's earliest days as Reedus had but he was still enamored by the sight.

"It was cool," Marquand told ComicBook.com in an interview premiering on ComicBook NOW. "I'll tell you, it was a strange thing because I came that day and I didn't have to work that day but I wanted to check it out. I was like, 'Where's Andy?' I turned a corner and I didn't realize it was him and I just saw him for a second, I was like, 'Jeez!' The transformation was total. He looks completely different with this massive old man beard and the short hair. It's a good look, I kind of like it. It's a little reminiscent of Arnold Schwarzenegger..."

While Marquand couldn't reveal whether or not this scene promised to be delivered in the Season 8 premiere would be the only time the show uses flash forward types of scenes, he did offer a tease of some new storytelling styles on the horizon. "They play with the story telling of how we maneuver around time and everything is told in a very interesting narrative way," Marquand said. "I think it's a massive departure from how we've been telling the story for the last few seasons and it's a really creative, fun way of telling it."
