If you’re on social media right now, you’re probably seeing quite a few people have a conniption about Rick and Morty. Rightfully so!

After telling people the wait for season three wouldn’t be as long as it was between the first two seasons, Adult Swim took OVER A YEAR to produce a new episode!

And just when it seemed like we might be getting it, Dan Harmon tempered those expectations by alluding to problems behind the scenes, by saying it’s in production, by saying they’re recording voice overs.

And all that stuff takes time. So it had to be a few more months, right? WRONG. And the team behind Rick and Morty just pulled off one of the best April Fools stunts of all time.

Rick and Morty’s third season premiere is now streaming and airing on Adult Swim for your viewing pleasure, and the internet is going crazy for it.

Here are some of the best reactions, because you know people love them some Rick and Morty.

Rick and Morty is Adult Swim’s most scientifically accurate animated comedy. Created by Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon, it catalogues the bizarre misadventures of a bored scientific genius/drunkard and his socially awkward grandson, Morty. Their exploits tend to have unintended consequences for Morty’s dysfunctional family, especially his unfailingly mediocre father, Jerry. Watch Rick and Morty battle everything from interdimensional customs agents to Cronenberg monsters.
