Batman is the closest thing that comics have to a power chord. It doesn't matter which way you play him, or what tune you set him to; Batman will always be the same fundamental character.

While many realize this through the Dark Knight's various comic book interpretations, they may not have known that the same metaphor applies to Batman's big-screen counterparts. Fortunately, one fan by the name of Jacob Swinney made a supercut of every Batman film to prove just that. By splicing together clips of every Batman movie made between the 1942 serial and 2012's The Dark Knight Rises, Swinney demonstrates that no matter the setting, no matter the actor, or no matter the era, Batman can still be the same crime-fighting caped crusader that's enamored audiences for more than 75 years.

And yes, that rule still applies even when rubber nipples are involved.
