IGN spoke with Ed Skrein (Game of Thrones) at San Diego Comic-Con and was able to squeeze out some more details about his upcoming Deadpool movie, in which he plays the villainous Ajax.

"The film runs in kind of two halves, like a soccer game," Skrein told IGN. "The first-half is me attacking; the second-half is more him attacking in some ways. But it's not that simple.

He then compares the Ajax-Deadpool conflict to some legendary boxers/boxing matches. "It's a great relationship Ajax and Deadpool have – it's a wonderful dynamic. A lot of the time we talked in terms of the great boxers: Muhammad Ali and George Foreman or Muhammad Ali versus Joe Frazier," Skrein explained. "Muhammad Ali is dancing around, whispering in his ear, trying to get to him, get under his skin, which is what Wade Wilson (Deadpool) and Ryan do so brilliantly. Ajax is that juggernaut, just like Joe Frazier, just focused on this job and hunting him down and pounding away, like a bulldozer."

For Skrein, being a part of a superhero film fulfills a life-long dream. "I was a superhero geek when I was young," he recalled. "I used to go to the comic-book conventions. It's literally the dream job."

Based upon Marvel Comics' most unconventional anti-hero, DEADPOOL tells the origin story of former Special Forces operative turned mercenary Wade Wilson, who after being subjected to a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers, adopts the alter ego Deadpool. Armed with his new abilities and a dark, twisted sense of humor, Deadpool hunts down the man who nearly destroyed his life.

Deadpool hits theaters on Feb. 12, 2016. You can check out every other upcoming Marvel movie on ComicBook.com's Comic Book Movie Release Schedule!
