In a new profile with Vulture, Jesse Eisenberg talked about his life and career, and what he's doing both in writing and acting. Of course, that meant he had to talk about Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, where he'll play the villainous Lex Luthor.

Eisenberg read comic books to prepare for the role, and found the character to be iconic in ways good and bad.

"There is this trove of stuff about this guy. A lot of it's repetitive, like he always winds up on the roof of his building giving some faux benevolent talk about how he's going to change the city. It's fun to take that campy cartoony stuff and try to put it into a real person and try to reconcile the two," he said.

To do that, he feels they've created a character with "real psychological underpinnings, and this movie character feels like a real scary person."

From just his little bit of reading, though, the actor was glad he wasn't much of a comic book fan ahead of time, as what he read converted him quickly. He said that if he had more time to read, he might have been "too excited to stop smiling" while on set.

Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice hits theaters March 26, 2016. See where it falls amongst the other comic book films on our complete schedule.
