First The Purge: Election Year TV Spot Released

The Purge: Election Year isn't even out until July 1st, but to me it has already entered into the discussion for best marketing campaign of 2016.

Tieing into the current political climate storywise is one thing, which is smart in and of itself, but then to make their newest TV spot something akin to what you would see Donald Trump or Hilary Clinton run in their campaign is just about brilliant.

There is also something truly disconcerting about juxtaposing these sweet, wholesome families shown in the ad with the gruesome and gory imagery from the film. That old man at the end is probably one of the nutso's beheading people in the trailer.
