AMC has just released the new key image for The Walking Dead Season 7 featuring the climactic cliffhanger from the previous season.
The image sets the tone for things to come in season 7 which will pick up in the moments where season 6 left off, answering the summer's biggest question of "Who did Negan kill?" Every candidate is present on the key art and at least one of them won't be present beyond the season premiere in October.
Yesterday saw the first official new image which featured Negan and his bat from the same scene. Jeffrey Dean Morgan's character appears to be at the forefront of The Walking Dead's season 7 marketing campaign and with good reason - the character has become a phenomena in pop culture across television and comic book mediums.
Speaking to Norman Reedus, the Daryl Dixon actor teased the a certain gargantuan quality coming to The Walking Dead's season 7. "There's different worlds now," Reedus says. "There's different characters. There's a change of power on the show. Negan coming in has flipped our whole script so to speak. We are no longer the Alpha right now. It's a new world. It's a new, dangerous world in a different way now."
With San Diego Comic Con right around the corner, the trailer for The WalkingDead's seventh season is set to debut on Friday, July 22. It's going to be a big week. We're expecting some more Negan and other new characters to be heavily featured in the new footage, so follow me on Twitter @BrandonDavisBD to have the quickest updates from the Hall H presentation (and all season long) and check out The Walking Dead on ComicBook.com on FaceBook for all things The Walking Dead related.
