Let's face it: you'd give a lot to meet your favorite anime characters. Over the decades, the medium has amassed a stash of popular and sought-after heroes who fans regard as role models. Now, thanks to technology, fans will be able to meet at least one of their favorite anime heroines. With virtual reality expanding everyday, it was only a matter of time until Sword Art Online was treated to a tech-savvy collaboration. And, now, the time has come for fans to meet Asuna face-to-face.

In celebration of Sword Art Onlinee's newest movie, FOVE has teamed up with A-1 Pictures to bring Asuna to life. The company, which is based out of California and co-founded by Sony Interactive's Yuka Kojima, has created a brief world where anime fans can meet up with the anime heroine.

When fans put on the VR headset, they will be transported to a virtual world where Asuna awaits them. The 3-D home screen will show the character before them as Asuna takes users on a tutorial through the technology and acts as a concierge. The virtual girl will be able to react to users by laughing or even scolding them. And, according to Asuna's voice actor, the heroine may even reprimand you if your eyes linger upon her chest for too long.

According to FOVE, the company boasts that this collaboration will feature the most "natural communication" ever tested in a VR program. If you are worried about testing the gear out, you will have some time to get your hands on a headset. Fans in Japan and Korea will be able to test the program out first, but international fans are hopeful FOVE will released the program in the U.S. as well.

If you are not familiar with Sword Art Online The Movie -Ordinal Scale- or want to know a bit more, then you can check out its official synopsis below:

"In 2022, the world of virtual reality was upended by the arrival of a new invention from a genius programmer, Akihiko Kayaba, called NerveGear. It was the first full-dive system, and with it, came endless possibilities to VRMMORPGs.

In 2026, a new machine called the Augma is developed to compete against the NerveGear and its successor, the Amusphere. A next-gen wearable device, the Augma doesn't have a full-dive function like its predecessors. Instead, it uses Augmented Reality (AR) to get players into the game. It is safe, user-friendly and lets users play while they are conscious, making it an instant hit on the market. The most popular game on the system is "Ordinal Scale" (aka: OS), an ARMMORPG developed exclusively for the Augma.
