It’s been a long time coming, but Studio Pierrot is about to make Naruto fans very happy. After ending its first arc, Boruto: Naruto Next Generations is set to embark on its next saga, and it will come straight from a fan-favorite manga run.
Boruto will begin airing its anime adaptation of ‘Naruto Gaiden’ come August 9, and a slew of synopses for its run have been released. The summaries hit Twitter earlier today, and translators like Ken Xyro were quick to get them up for English-speaking fans. You can read up on the synopses below, but be warned! They do contain spoilers.
If you are not familiar with ‘Naruto Gaiden,’ then you have a bit to read up on. The story arc will created as a epilogue to Masashi Kishimoto’s Naruto manga. The miniseries takes place 15 years after the Fourth Shinobi World War ends, and it follows Sarada as she becomes curious about the circumstances surrounding her birth.
Naruto received information from Sasuke - who’se been traveling the world on a secret mission - about a person possessing the Sharingan, the bloodline talent of the Uchiha clan. But currently, Sasuke and his daughter Sarada should be the last Uchiha alive. Meanwhile, Sarada who’s wondering about her “real mother” decides to follow Naruto with ChoCho in order to meet her father Sasuke.
Sarada reaches the Ride Tower where Sasuke is and goes in. She’s deeply hurt by the words and actions of her father who she finally got to meet. Naruto and ChoCho can hardly see the situation unfold, but they are suddenly attack by a mysterious enemy.
Mysterious enemy Shin captures Sakura and leaves Sarada stunned. Even Naruto with his superior sensory skills is not about to track her. Meanwhile, Sasuke wonders about the number of Sharingan in Shin’s arm. The group decides to visit Orochimaru’s lair to look for clues about the arm.
