The CW has become synonymous with superheroes, and the network is rather proud of that fact.

In preparation for their upcoming Supergirl, Arrow, The Flash, and Legends of Tomorrow panels at San Diego Comic-Con, The CW has released a new trailer showing some of the last season highlights.

Leading off the video though is a small recap of their origin stories that utilizes various art from the comics. While the new trailer features all four shows, it emphasizes the network's newest addition Supergirl, starring Melissa Benoist. They even take the opportunity to feature a nice little in-joke that made it into the show's first season.

CW Crossover

Season four of Arrow left the team a shell of its former self, and season five will still be dealing with the death of one of their own, Laurel Lance's Black Canary. The Legends of Tomorrow finally took down Vandal Savage, but with the onset of a new threat and some roster shakeup, including the introduction of the Justice Society, things should be just as chaotic as they were in season one.

On Supergirl, the mystery of what is in the ship will factor in heavily early on in the show's second season, but the biggest change will be the introduction of Superman, who will be played by Tyler Hoechlin. Superman appeared in season one but was never fully seen. In season two, Kara's little brother will play a much bigger role.

Though truly, The Flash could have the biggest implications on the CW universe. Barry's actions at the end of season two threaten to throw everything into upheaval, and it has been confirmed that season three will be taking on the fan favorite Flashpoint event seen in the comics.

Whether that will affect the other shows or not is yet to be confirmed, but with crossover potential being abundant between the four shows, I would be surprised if you see some outside ramifications.
