Nintendo Direct Live: Watch Here

It's finally time! The Nintendo Direct is going live in just a moment, and we're expecting some big announcements! Nintendo's E3 Direct was about 25 minutes long, and today's presentation is almost twice as long so there is plenty of room for unexpected game announcements, release date bombshells, system update news, or (dare we say it) all of the above! We're hosting the entire presentation above, so stick around, get hyped, and stay tuned for all of the latest announcements and reveals, which we'll be covering right here as they break!

There are obviously some announcements are reveals we're looking forward to more than others. Perhaps the biggest announcement that Nintendo could drop today would be a launch date for the Virtual Console service, which would finally enable long-time Nintendo fans to access and play the enormous catalog of retro Nintendo classics on their Nintendo Switch consoles. Even if the Virtual Console doesn't launch until after the Super NES Classic Edition comes and goes, we'd be perfectly happy with a release date.

Speaking of release dates, we're expecting a few to be revealed during the stream. Skyrim is one of the very first games confirmed for the Nintendo Switch, and not since we saw footage back in December of last year have we heard a peep about when we can get our hands on the thing. We're hoping that changes today. We're also in desperate need of a release date for Xenoblade Chronicles 2.

Will we hear anything about Pokémon on Nintendo Switch? Probably not, since Game Freak stated that it wouldn't be coming until late 2018 at the earliest. If you want to get hyped about something far out, get hyped about some Animal Crossing news, Game Cube games on Nintendo Switch, and more remasters from the Wii U. We'd love to see Tokyo Mirage Sessions, Bayonetta 2, and Smash Bros. at least! Let's a-go!
