Destiny 2: How To Get Deleted Ornaments Back

Destiny 2 is available now on Xbox One and PlayStation 4, and many players are seeing more and more ways that the sequel differs from its predecessor. One of those in-game elements concerns ornaments, and unlike the newly revamped shader system, there is a way for discarded ornaments to be reused even when deleted.

This discovery came from one Reddit user that turned a mistake into a valuable experiment for other players. When TommyM77 accidentally deleted his DARCI exotic arc rifle, he was instantly concerned that he lost the ornament attached to it. Ornaments in-game are purely cosmetic, but that customisation is highly esteemed within the Destiny community. So when Tommy thought he lost his, he was understandably worried. Turns out - even if they are deleted, they can still be recovered!

How to recover a recently deleted ornament is easy, and works much in the same way as the in-game Emblems and Emotes; they are permanently available in the kiosk for convenience. Tommy goes as far as saying, "The ornament in your inventory is useless. You can (and should) delete it." As soon as an ornament is picked up, it is instantly bound to the player's account (relieved exhale out).

Unlike the shaders, which are consumed and then finished, ornaments cannot be duplicated because of that instant account save. Concerning the shaders, though Bungie did change out how they handle the colour consumables; they are infinitely more accessible through random drops - so it really isn't a huge deal to how a player can use them. To learn more about how that particular consumable has been affected, you can check out Bungie's official response right here.

Destiny 2 is now available for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 players, with a PC release slated for October 24th. Have you checked out the latest changes coming to the ongoing Leviathan raid? How about the Trials of the Nine map exchange?
