World of Warcraft players have another reason to get excited for this year's festivities at Blizzard's annual event BlizzCon. A recent "Year in Review" video from the WoW team alludes to an upcoming announcement for the 2017 show, as well as the most recent BlizzCon Preview that furthers the excitement levels.

To amp up the hype for the upcoming event, Blizzard has been showcasing weekly videos to give inside looks at what is to come. In the recent World of Warcraft "Year in Review", the developers talked about some of the heavy hitters to hit the popular MMORPG; most notably the release of the last expansion: Legion.

Legion was a huge hit; raising the level cap, adding in the Demon Hunter class, and giving all new areas to explore. Though the final additions have already been slated for the expansion - news has already begun circulating about what they have in store for the future.

World of Warcraft game director Ion Hazzikostas had this to say about the celebratory event:

"We are so excited, hard at work getting ready for BlizzCon and really can't wait to share everything that we've been working on. I know players are wondering what's coming next, where can we possibly go after this climactic battle that awaits us and can't wait to tell everybody more about it at BlizzCon."

There are plenty of other videos to enjoy concerning the worlds that Blizzard has created, including developer updates, cosplay features, and artist spotlights. The Blizzard team prides themselves on their strong community, and the BlizzCon events are the perfect place to show off that love. Whether your pick of poison is Heroes of the Storm, the classic StarCraft series, or harnessing your inner D.Va in Overwatch - the community has something for everyone.
