Ghost Recon Wildlands is initiating operation free trial this weekend, across all platforms. Gamers on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One will be able to download the full version of the game and explore freely beginning on October 12 at 2AM Central, until October 16 at 2AM central. If you're playing on PS4, you can pre-load the game beginning on October 10 (tomorrow), and PC players can pre-load the day after on October 11.

If you or your friends have enjoyed the cooperative, squad-based intensity of Rainbow Six Siege, then Ubisoft's open-world tactical action game is probably right up your alley. Grab a few friends and see how far into the campaign you can make it together before the trial is up, or log on to experience "Ghost War," the new squad-based PvP mode that fans have been raving about. From Ubisoft's official update:

"Released for free to all Ghost Recon Wildlands players, Ghost War is a brand new mode that brings a whole new challenge to the table. Players choose from among 12 distinct classes to create teams loaded for bear with powerful weapons, perks, and abilities. Using squad tactics and stealthy scouting techniques, they fight it out against a team of enemy players in intense multiplayer. Ghost War launches on October 10, and the development team will expand it in the months to come with new maps, new classes, and new modes."

The good news is that, should you decide you love the game and can't live without it, Ubisfot will be offering Ghost Recon Wildlands for 50 percent off during the entire free-trial period. If you have PlayStation Plus, Xbox Live Gold, or Uplay on PC, the sale will continue on through October 23. All progress you make during the free trial will carry over, so you can pick up your adventures in Santa Blanca right where you left off!
