Watch South Park: The Fractured but Whole's Obscene New Launch Trailer

A new trailer has dropped for South Park: The Fractured but Whole just ahead of its launch date, and the preview is just as vulgar as South Park fans would hope that it would be.

The launch trailer for the game was uploaded by Ubisoft on Monday, a day before the game's Oct. 17 release date. From the beginning of the trailer that shows an ESRB box with the understandable "M" rating and a warning list of blood, violence, nudity, language, and much more that you'll see in the trailer and the game itself, it's a good place to start if you're unsure what you're getting yourself into.

But those who played the first game will likely be fully aware of what to expect from the sequel, though you'll likely see plenty of improvements on the way. The game puts players in control of the New Kid once again as they join an ensemble of South Park characters including Cartman, Kyle, Kenny, and many more and take part in a civil war that's divided the town. Two opposing groups of superpowered kids face off against each other, many of the superhero identities showcased in the trailer. Up to 13 superpowered characters can be drafted into the Coon and Friends supergroup to combine powers and make quick work of the game's villains.

When creating your character, you'll also have an increased level of customization compared to the first game. You can give you character a backstory by making them a human, a mutant, or something else entirely. During the day, you can make your way around the town of South Park as your character's normal identity, but come nightfall, your superhero alter ego emerges to fight crime and help mend the divided town.

The launch trailer above for South Park: The Fractured but Whole indicates that the game is currently available, but it actually isn't released just yet. Plenty of players likely already have their copies preordered or preloaded in preparation for the release, but they'll have to wait a bit longer before going full superhero.

South Park: The Fractured but Whole releases on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC on Oct. 17.
