Long-time Power Rangers star Jason David Frank sported a custom Lord Drakkon suit in photos shared to the actor's Instagram page.
"From Boom Studios' Mighty Morphin Power Rangers' universe, arises Lord Drakkon, the evil and older alternate version of Tommy Oliver," reads Frank's caption.
"The ruthless leader of his world and the strongest enemy of the Power Rangers. I have now brought Lord Drakkon to life! This suit was a prototype made by @anikicosplay and I have on the custom white spandex suit made by @soniaralynn. Just testing it on. New professional photos coming soon."
Frank included the hashtag "Saban approved."
Lord Drakkon first appeared in the ninth issue of Boom! Studios' Mighty Morpin Power Rangers comic book series, where he revealed himself to be an alternate and older version of legendary Power Ranger Tommy Oliver.
The sociopathic supervillain dons a Power Ranger suit combining Tommy's Green Ranger and White Ranger looks, and his arsenal includes Tommy's famed Dragon Dagger and a Zord-like machine called the Black Dragon, which he uses to battle the Power Rangers.
Power Rangers veteran Frank has participated in more episodes of the long-running series than any other actor, appearing in Mighty Morphin', Zeo, Turbo, Wild Force, Dino Thunder, and Super Megaforce.
Frank has over 240 Power Rangers credits to his name since joining the franchise in 1993.
He'll next feature as gun-toting super-soldier Bloodshot in live-action web-series Ninjak vs. The Valiant Universe, expected to premiere online this year.
